Hi, I'm Tanisha and I am sixteen years old. I chose to start a blog about indian weddings because since the age of six, I have been to so many indian weddings and they were all so different and beautiful; all the functions celebrated before and after the weddings are really fun. They start off with an engagement which is when they exchange rings, then weeks of preperation, choosing wedding cards and decorating the house for a ceremony called 'Sangeet' which is a hindi word for music and dance. After the Sangeet, its thefinal weddings where they go through the rituals together and are officially married.  day after the wedding they have a function called reception, which is for family and friends to dress up and get photos taken with the bride and groom. I find all these functions fun because you meet up with relatives after a really long time and go shopping for traditional dresses such as lehngas. And especially because the food and sweets served in these ceremonies are my favourite. This blog has no age limit, anybody who likes exploring different cultures and traditions will like this blog. Cultural traditions have been passed down from generation to generation and our cultural experiences are also influenced by the times in which we live.
